Greater San Francisco Bay Area
SightLife is one of the nation's largest providers of corneal transplant tissue. It has provided over 40,000 individuals with sight restoring transplant tissue. SightLife distributes tissue to over 40 countries each year and is recognized by Global Health Leaders as one of the key organizations working on the elimination of global corneal blindness. In 2009, we provided more than 4,000 corneas for transplant, meeting the need in our region and helping fill gaps across the United States and in 25 other countries.
We are looking for a Hospital Services Liaison to support our continued growth and success. This position is responsible for providing professional and public education programs to ensure comprehensive hospital and community participation in the eye donation program.
In addition, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with hospitals, coroners, medical examiners, funeral homes, and other healthcare professionals.
Currently, the selected candidate will work out of their home covering the greater San Francisco Bay area.

Eye Bank Referral Coordinator
Seattle, Washington
Full and part time positions available.
Put your passion to work and consider joining this team of professionals fulfilling a mission to serve as a global leader and partner to eliminate cornea blindness. SightLife, a global leader in eye banking, will train you to medically screen potential eye donors with hospital staff, to interact and discuss donation options with potential donor families, and to coordinate logistics of tissue recovery with the eye bank surgical recovery technician. All core duties are completed via phone, and call center experience is a plus. Experience with sensitive interviews, health care, or science is preferred. We are seeking the right individual who can work independently and who is customer service oriented, trustworthy, and excited about fulfilling our mission. The hours for team members are variable, but the current opening is primarily for overnights.

Part-Time Eye Bank Recovery Technician
Montana: Missoula, Kalispell, & Bozeman

Sightlife is seeking highly motivated, independent per diem technicians for Missoula, Kalispell, and Bozeman Montana. The technician performs the aseptic surgical recovery of human cornea tissue—the first in a series of steps prior to transplantation. The technicians' critical role ensures safe and viable cornea transplant tissue from deceased organ and tissue donors. Comprehensive training in aseptic and surgical recovery technique will be provided by SightLife. Technicians work independently, travelling to local area hospitals, funeral homes, and medical examiner's offices throughout Montana to complete the recovery procedure. The team of technicians rotate on-call shifts to cover a 24/7 schedule. Schedule availability and flexibility are key qualities for success. A valid driver's license/insurance/reliable vehicle is required. No direct experience is required, but we are seeking the right individual who has some education or experience in the fields of science and/or health care. Applicants living in the Missoula, Kalispell, and Bozeman areas are preferred.

The technician performs aseptic surgical recovery of human cornea tissue—the first in a series of steps prior to transplantation. The technician’s critical role ensures safe and viable cornea transplant tissue from deceased organ and tissue donors. Comprehensive training in aseptic and surgical recovery technique will be provided by SightLife. Technicians work independently, traveling to hospitals, funeral homes, and medical examiner’s offices throughout Western Washington to complete the recovery procedure. The team of technicians rotate on-call shifts to cover nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedule availability and flexibility are key qualities for success. A valid driver’s license/insurance/reliable vehicle is required. No direct experience is required, but we are seeking the right individual who has some education or experience in the fields of science and/or health care. Applicants living in or adjacent to Seattle are preferred.
