Gretchen Coker

Director of Human Resources
Gretchen Coker, Director of Human Resources

Gretchen Coker was born and raised in the Puget Sound area. She graduated from Chapman University with an M.S. in Human Resources Management and worked for Starbucks prior to joining SightLife.

Gretchen is a big fan of Seattle's Sounders professional soccer team and of the University of Washington's Husky football team. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband, Mark.

Cathy Pelzel

Executive Assistant
Cathy Pelzel, Executive Assistant

Cathy Pelzel is a Puget Sound area local, having grown up in Auburn, Washington. She graduated from North Seattle Community College with a degree in Office Management and Administrative Assistance. She is also a Certified Professional Secretary.

Cathy likes to hike, bike, read, and travel. Thanks to the effects of donation in a relative's life, Cathy has also been a public speaker promoting organ donation and transplantation for the Northwest Kidney Foundation.

Human Resources Associate

Bianca Moreno holds a degree in Political Science from her hometown school of California State University – Los Angeles. Her experience includes working in Human Resources at a Los Angeles law firm.

Kelly Brench

Operations Assistant
Kelly Brench, Operations Assistant

Kelly Brench grew up in Minnesota and holds a degree in Business from Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington. Prior to her work as SightLife's Operations Assistant, Kelly was an Administrative Assistant at Westminster Chapel.

When she isn't helping the world to see, Kelly enjoys working out, being outside, laughing with friends, finding that stellar cup of coffee, listening to great music, and spending time with her husband.

Deborah Gholson

Office Coordinator
Deborah Gholson, Office Coordinator

Deborah grew up in southern California and holds a degree in Human Services from Western Washington University. Prior to joining SightLife, her worked experience included a variety of business administrative roles and nonprofit management.

Outside of work, Deborah enjoys gardening and other creative activities like graphic design and photography. She is a proud parent of three grown children and four grandchildren.

Sabah Hawasli

Purchasing & Transportation Manager
Sabah Hawasli, Purchasing and Transportation Manager

Sabah is a Syrian American who has lived in King County since 1992. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature. As his title suggests, he coordinates many of SightLife’s administrative projects, provides valuable assistance with the delivery of corneas, and is responsible for purchasing and maintaining supplies for all operations. Prior to joining SightLife in 1997, he worked as an interpreter with the U. N. Inspection Team in Damascus and was Administrative Manager at OSHCO-PAE, Ltd. and at Westinghouse Electric.

Sabah is a writer of short stories and has published two books. Ferial and Sabah are proud parents of three children. They both enjoy reading and listening to classical music.

Thien-An Hua

IT Coordinator
Thien-An Hua, IT Coordinator

Thien-An Hua grew up under the peaceful skies of Olympia, Washington. He holds a degree in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering from the University of Washington.

Thien-An enjoys wandering the mountains of Washington, biking, and having various other adventures.
