Helping the World to See

Medical students tour the LV Prasad Eye
Institute in Hyderabad, India
Canadian corneal surgeon Dr. Paul Dubord first introduced our organization to the global need for corneas by inviting us to join his work in India. The first trip opened our eyes and our hearts. We haven't looked back.
Corneal blindness affects more than 10,000,000 people worldwide. Things don't have to be that way, and we aim to change it. Thanks to our successful experience partnering with eye banks in developing countries, SightLife is launching a program of international eye bank development.
Each eye bank we help launch will grow to be independent and locally self-sustaining, serving the people of its region in a way appropriate to their needs, laws, and culture.
