SightLife challenge at 2011 Tour for Wealth Advisors—we are at the “Tipping Point

It was our privilege to host over 60 like-minded investment, wealth, planned giving professionals, attorneys and philanthropist at our 4th Annual SightLife Wealth Advisors After-Hours Tour on Tuesday, November 1, 2011.

At the end of a great evening, Rob Vatter, Vice President, Principal & Planned Giving, presented the SightLife Donor/Partner Budget as an opportunity that wealth advisors can offer to clients interested in making a gift that enables sight to be restored to thousands on a continuing, year-after-year basis, stating that Sightlife is the “Tipping Point” in India and ”is poised for success in 2012!

The evening began with a tour of the world's leading eye bank. Guest speakers included Dr. Clair Angel, a leading Seattle Optometrist, and President of Image Source Team Brian Haner, who shared an inspirational personal journeys of restored sight from very different perspectives. Bellevue Attorney Glenn Price of Price & Farrington added context and food for thought with his presentation on Estate Planning combined with Legacy Planning during tough economic times.

SightLife President & CEO Monty Montoya and Tim Schottman, Chief Global Officer, gave firsthand accounts of SightLife's all-out effort and investment to eliminate corneal blindness in India. Combined with neighboring Bangladesh and Indonesia, India is home to a staggering 43.8% of the world's blind men, women, and children.
