How your $120 makes a blind person see
You’ll be giving sight to a person suffering from Cornea Disease. In layman’s terms, cornea disease clouds over the cornea, the lens of the eye. A person who has cornea disease is functionally blind because no light can get into their eye.
The Cure
But the great news is that cornea disease is curable! The cure is simple; a transplant surgery to implant a donated, healthy cornea to replace the diseased cornea (or corneas).
Transplant
Then we prep the corneas for transplant and work with our partners to make sure the surgery is a success.
Eye Banking
Our world-wide eye banking programs make it possible for people to donate their corneas.
