Studying the history of eye bank development globally, we have identified a few key criteria that define a successful eye bank. If you are interested in becoming a SightLife Partner, this is what we look for as we consider potential partners:

Vision & Values

  • Committed to the elimination of treatable cornea blindness in your region or country
  • Building a performance-oriented and learing-based culture
  • Operating with integrity and transparency

Strong Leadership Team

  • Led by a non-clinician professional manager
  • Governed by a strong Board and a dedicated Medical Director
  • Able to lead rapid growth and change

Community-Focused

  • Provides community-oriented recoveries
  • Distributes corneas to the overall community

Scalable

  • Committed to rapid growth, with a focus on hospital recovery

Sustainable

  • Committed to becoming sustainable within 5 years

While SightLife does not expect potential partners to have all these criteria in place, we do look for your commitment to these criteria as a condition for the partnership. If we proceed and both determine to partner, we will establish a five year agreement which will be renewed annually based on achieving agreed-upon performance goals.

If you are interested in a SightLife Global Partnership to create or develop an eye bank and you feel you match the above criteria, please contact Manoj Gulati if you are in India () or Jeremy Shuman () for all other countries.
