SightLife Recovery Area

The home service region for SightLife consists of the states of Washington, Northern Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. It is the largest geographic area of any single eye bank and contains approximately 8.5 million people. We recover our eye tissue from the generous donors in these areas and supply 100% of the necessary tissue for corneal transplantation in these states. Thanks to the high number of donors relative to the local need, SightLife is also able to provide corneas for surgery across the United States and throughout the world.

Trained eye bank recovery technicians are based in the cities shown above. All recovered tissue is transported to Seattle for evaluation before distribution to surgeons and researchers.
