Kara Petry

Donor Services Director

Kara is a high-energy individual who joined SightLife in the spring of 2002 to encourage organ and tissue donation in Western Washington. Before moving to Seattle to join our organization, she was Manager of Hospital Development at the Minnesota Lions Eye Bank. She grew up in Eagan, Minnesota, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, with a B.A. in Social Work.

Kara currently serves on the Hospital Development Committee of Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA). Her interests outside of work are hiking, camping, reading, kick-boxing, and spending time with friends. P.S.- When we said "high-energy," we meant high energy. In May of 1999, Kara reached the summit of Mt. Kilamanjaro (19,500 feet) in East Africa.

SightLife Hospital Services Coordinator Stephanie Wick

Stephanie Wick

Hospital Services Coordinator

Stephanie Wick grew up in Tacoma, Washington, and graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Communications and Public Relations.

As Hospital Services Coordinator, Stephanie is responsible for encouraging organ, tissue, and cornea donation with Southwest Washington hospitals.

Before joining SightLife, Stephanie worked for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), where she was responsible for their Health Care Services and Summer Camp programs. She also managed clinics at the University of Washington Medical Center and Children's Hospital.

She loves outdoors, camping, boating, cooking, cross country skiing, reading, and spending time with her family.

SightLife Family Services Coordinator Lois Parker

Lois Parker

Family Services Coordinator

A native of the Northwest, Lois joined SightLife in the spring of 2002. She brings with her extensive experience in the healthcare field in areas of medical staffing and recruitment, business administration, and human resources. She's served several years with a national non-profit child advocacy group and has been a part of such organizations as AT&T and Swedish Cancer Institute.

Lois serves as primary liaison for donor families and cornea recipients, providing compassionate aftercare and bereavement support. We are currently the only eye bank in the nation with a full-time person on staff to administer grief counseling and related help to donor families. Lois is a licensed counselor and participating member of ADEC (Association for Death Education and Counseling).She is also responsible for the purchasing of educational materials and resources for the NLEB grief library. Lois is a welcome addition to the Hospital & Family Services team.

Outside of work, Lois enjoys jazz, Bible study, entertaining, and traveling throughout the Caribbean with her husband and childhood sweetheart of 30 years. They have two grown children.
